Your Library Card

Who can get a library card, how to apply, and how to use your library card.

So you want to get a library card?

Anyone three (3) years or older may recieve a library card.  Children in 3rd grade and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and have their signature of permission.

To apply, request a registration form.  Please provide proof of your current address - such as a driver's license, utility bill, checkbook with name/address imprint, etc.  Fill out the form listing a contact person - such as an adult, relative, or neighbor - who does not reside at the same address.  During the initial 2/month period a family may be limited to 6 items at a time.

Please present your card each time you borrow materials.

It is strongly recommended that you DO NOT lend you card or your checked out items to others.  The person to whom the card was issued is responsible for all fees, fines, and materials checked out with that card.  If your card is lost or stolen, please notify the library.

Loan Periods

Books, magazines, audio materials, and paperbacks, are circulated for a two-week period with one renewal allowed.

Vidoecassettes and DVD's are circulated for three days and are not renewable.  There is a limit of two Vidoecassette/DVD per person or family.

  Fines

Overdue books are 5 cents per day, per book.

Videocassettes and DVD's are $1.00 per day, per cassette or DVD.  Fines must be paid before any other items can be checked out.

  Returning Your Item

To return your item you may drop it in our outside drop box, if we are closed, or there is a drop box inside the library near the front desk.  Please note we hold you responsible for any damage done to the material checked out to you.
